A further £1 million has recently been invested on plant and building extensions to keep pace with record demand for their product 'Sealy Posturepedic', the world's biggest bed brand. More than 300 employees now work at the multi-award winning company which operates a 170,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant in Aspatria, supplying beds to leading retailers all over the UK.

Sealy's success in a very competitive market place emphasises the benefits of distribution from uncongested Cumbria. There can be fewer products more bulky than a bed yet Sealy's distribution costs, as a percentage of sales, are the lowest of the six bed companies in the parent group.
